Gather – Community Opening
Four Winds welcomes you back to Barragga Bay!
The opening event of the Four Winds Music Festival will see the site alive with the energy and warmth of the community gathering together. After a tumultuous few years, we are celebrating the return of the Festival to our home with a giant, free community picnic. You are invited to join us for a relaxed afternoon and evening of catching up with friends while enjoying exceptional music. This is the perfect way to start your long weekend.
Bring your own picnic and add a gozleme or other delicious treats from the Four Winds Food Marquee. The Four Winds Bar will run throughout the afternoon and evening to keep you refreshed.
The free afternoon and evening program includes:
4:00-5.00PM: Wonga & the Waratah – a spectacular visual art installation
5.00-6.00PM: Radiance – Jazz in the Sound Shell, our outdoor amphitheatre
6.30-8.00PM: Celestial & Submerged Objects – This energetic twilight affair channels cabaret, recital and whimsy in breathtaking fashion, showcasing consummate musicianship, thrilling audacity and imagination. If Bach, Debussy, Bartok, jazz, the mythical, primordial or comedy are your bag, this is your night under the stars
You can also purchase tickets to:
5.30-6.30PM: Alluvial Gold – a sound installation featuring a sonified oyster curtain in the Windsong Pavilion
8:00-9:15PM: Closer – a late night concert featuring Ngaiire, Paul Grabowsky and friends.
We suggest you bring your picnic rugs and chairs, dress for an autumn evening under the stars and have a fabulous night!
