Michael Darling
Chair
Board member since: 2013
Michael is currently Director and Founding Chairman of Caledonia Private Investments Pty Ltd and Chairman of the Centre for Independent Studies Ltd. Michael previously worked at international consulting firm McKinsey & Co. across the globe. Michael has a law degree from Oxford University and Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University.

Geoff Steel
Treasurer
Board member since: 2013
Geoff has held senior positions in financial oversight, accounting policy setting and regulation of major Australian financial institutions, including Head of Accounting Regulation at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, and Head of Group Accounting Policy for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Group.

Sian Morgan-Hall

Board member since: 2008
In the mid-eighties, Sian’s role as director of development for the Australian National Gallery focussed on corporate donors. Sian was, until recently, responsible for Audience Development (Outreach) for Sydney Living Museums (previously the Historic Houses Trust of NSW). While living in the UK, Sian managed the European Community Baroque Orchestra.

David Claringbold
Director
Board member since: 2014
David is a musician, music producer and engineer. He joined the Sydney Opera House in 1994 and returned in 2006 as Technical Director. At the beginning of 2012, David was appointed to the Sydney Opera House Executive Team in the new role of Director, Theatre and Events. David has recently left Sydney Opera House and has undertaken consultancy with the City of Sydney to envision a new future for the management of the City Recital Hall at Angel Place.

Kate Jorgenson
Director
Board member since: 2018
Kate has had a successful career in senior policy and program management positions in the Australian Public Service. She holds qualifications in Management and Visual arts and is President of the Canberra Recorder and Early Music society. Kate has been engaged in classical music as a hobby throughout her life and brings great energy and passion to Bermagui and the Four Winds Board as a community musician and chorister.

Passed away June 15, 2015
Neilma Gantner was one of the founders the Four Winds Festival in 1991 and until her death she was a Board Member and passionate supporter. An acclaimed, published author and long-term resident of Bermagui, Neilma was committed to the region and creating opportunities for people of all ages to participate in the arts. Her vision was for people in regional Australia to share in the artistic riches enjoyed by our counterparts in big cities.

Sheena’s professional experience lies in strategic facilitation with global civil society groups and major companies including Nestlé, ANZ, BHP Billiton, Oxfam and Rio Tinto. Sheena spearheaded the festival team’s success in raising $3 million to create Nature’s Concert Hall.
